The X4 UV utilizes SCHOTT B270® ultra-clear crown glass and protective layers of our cutting edge MRC16 and nanotec® Nano Coating layers which eliminate reflections and increase transmission. The sharpest UV filter you can find - guaranteed.

Spectrometers are used to measure the amount of light that passes through a filter. UV filters should protect the lens without any loss of light transmission. The X4 UV has an ultra-high, industry-leading average light transmission of 99.2% throughout the visible range which translates into critically sharp images and crystal clear of optical performance.

We engineer every one of our filters to withstand a lifetime of use in the field. Thats why the X4 UV is precision machined from high-quality brass with our signature traction frame. Our rugged design was developed to optimize feel and make it easy to securely attach and remove the filter - even with gloves in cold conditions.

The X4 frames complete the weather-seal on the lens and are built to withstand extreme wind, salt water, dust and any other abrasive elements found in nature.
